Dr. Dan established Wilson Veterinary Co. to serve the needs of poultry producers who do not have access to veterinary services. Before starting the practice, Dr. Wilson was the Corporate Veterinarian and Director of Nutrition for Rose Acre Farms. He attended Purdue University, receiving his B.S. in Animal Sciences and his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine.
Dr. Wilson serves as the American Association of Avian Pathologist liaison to United Egg Producers (UEP) and serves on UEP’s Scientific Advisory Committee. Dr. Wilson’s resides outside of Indianapolis, where he lives with his wife, two children, and 2 doodles.
When not working with poultry, Dr. Wilson enjoys following Purdue sports, officiating club swimming, and camping with family and friends.
During his childhood, Dr. Mark was actively involved in showing fancier pigeons, which blossomed into a strong passion for poultry. Upon completion of his undergraduate degree in Animal Science from Dordt University, Dr. Mark received his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine. Currently he resides in his small hometown of Rock Valley in northwest Iowa.
When not practicing veterinary medicine, Dr. Mark enjoys fishing, hunting, golfing, and spending time with his dog, Koda.
A southern Minnesota native, Dr. Michaela's passion for working with animals began on her family hobby farm, where they raised poultry, goats, and pigs for 4-H and food. Following her undergraduate in Animal Science at the University of Minnesota, Dr. Michaela went on to complete her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine.
Currently residing on a few acres near New Richland, Minnesota, she enjoys spending time with her husband, Tyler, their dogs, Goose and Griffin, and tending to her beautiful gardens and houseplants.
After obtaining his undergraduate degree in Poultry Science and Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from North Carolina State University, Dr. Mark chose to make North Carolina home to both work and raise a family. He has worn a variety of hats in the poultry industry including roles such as an on-staff veterinarian for commercial turkeys, diagnostician, and a technical manager for poultry in the pharmaceutical, vaccine, and nutritional feed additive industries.
When not working with feathers, Dr. Mark enjoys spending time with his wife, Joyce, and their dogs, and cooking with their two adult sons – making memories and fantastic food.
Currently calling Fort Wayne, Indiana home, but originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Dr. Luke discovered his interest in poultry during his undergrad years at Pennsylvania State University. During his time at Penn State, he completed his degree in Veterinary and Biomedical Sciences.
Upon graduation, he went on to complete his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from The Ohio State University. When not practicing Dr. Luke enjoys traveling, admiring Native American artwork and tending to his tropical houseplants. He is also currently pursuing his private pilot’s license.
Growing up on a farm in Southeastern Indiana, agriculture is near and dear to Michaela’s heart. After graduating Purdue University with an Animal Sciences degree in 2017, she spent 5 years in research and development for the animal health industry gaining hands-on experience and technical skills across multiple food animal species including poultry.
In her spare time, Michaela remains involved on the family farm with the beef feedlot and commercial meat goat operations. Aside from the farm, she also enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband, Reid, their dogs, Sammy and Simon, and riding her horse Charlie.
Originally from Ridgecrest, California, Kayleigh moved with her family to Bloomington, Indiana, where she currently resides. She studied Spanish at the University of Indianapolis and used those skills in various support and management roles.
Kayleigh is a busy mom of Kaidenn, Ahkianna, and Zephyr, and wife to her husband, Brad. When not working Kayleigh enjoys cooking different ethnic foods and spending time outdoors with her family.
