Dr. Mark Mouw
A southern Minnesota native, Dr. Michaela's passion for working with animals began on her family hobby farm, where they raised poultry, goats, and pigs for 4-H and food. Following her undergraduate in Animal Science at the University of Minnesota, Michaela went on to complete her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine. Currently residing on a few acres near New Richland, MN, she enjoys spending time with her husband, Tyler, their dogs, Goose and Griffin, and tending to her beautiful gardens and houseplants.
Dr. Michaela Olson
After obtaining his undergraduate degree in Poultry Science and Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine at North Carolina State University, Dr. Mark chose to make North Carolina home to both work and raise a family. Mark has worn a variety of hats in the poultry industry including as an on-staff veterinarian for commercial turkeys, at the North Carolina Department of Agriculture Northwestern Diagnostic Lab as diagnostician, and as a technical manager for poultry in the pharmaceutical, vaccine, and nutritional feed additive industries. When not working with feathers, Mark enjoys spending time with his wife, Joyce, and their dogs, and spending time in the kitchen with their two adult sons, making memories and fantastic food.
Growing up on a farm in Southeastern Indiana, animal welfare and agriculture are near and dear to Michaela’s heart. After graduating Purdue University with an Animal Sciences degree in 2017, she spent 5 years in research and development for the animal health industry gaining hands-on experience and technical skills across multiple food animal species including poultry. In her spare time, Michaela remains involved on the family farm with the beef feedlot and commercial meat goat operations. Aside from the farm, she also enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband, Reid, their dog, Sammy, and riding her horse Charlie.
